They walked over to a spot in the woods, Julia gathering up her courage.
Graham paused, looking at her curiously, she wondered if he'd already
figured out what she was about to say.
"I've got a problem," she said.
"Go on," he smiled. " The doctor's in."
"No no, nothing like that, thanks for the thought though. It's more of
this kind of trouble," she said, tapping her chest.
"Heart trouble?"
"In a sense, yeah. You know how Eric and I are dating, right?"
"Yes. Everyone pretty much does, Julia."
She smiled, feeling a little embarrassed.
"Are you having trouble with him?"
"No!" she exclaimed, then looked down quickly, hoping no one heard.
"I'm not. No."
"Then what's wrong?"
"I've been having feelings for someone else."
TJ happened to catch this sentence as he was going over things with
Gilliam, surreptiously eavesdropping.
"Who?" asked Graham.
Julia leaned in close and said very softly; "Michael.'
Oh no, thought TJ. Things will be even more complicated now.
"For Mike?" said Graham. "For how long now?"
"Since I left the show, off and on really."
"Does he know?"
"No."
"Does Eric know?"
"No. You're the only person, Gray. Please promise you won't tell
anyone. I've got to figure out a way to resolve this."
He nodded.
"Before it's too late," whispered Julia.
